- To excel in the field of civil engineering and provide ethical as well as innovative technical education to meet the needs of industry and society.
- M1: To provide quality teaching in order to produce technically competent civil engineers.
- M2: To interact with industry which facilitate employability and entrepreneurial ability along with social responsibility.
- M3: To inculcate sensitivity towards society, environment and promote moral and ethical values to the students
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
Students will be able to
- Analyze, design and propose a feasible solution to civil engineering problems by applying basic principles of mathematics, science and engineering.
- Promote lifelong self learning abilities for gaining multidisciplinary knowledge through projects and industrial training to meet the social needs.
- Sensitize students towards social issues and to introduce them to professional ethics and practices.
Students will be able to
- Plan, design and prepare drawings, quantity estimates, reports and other documents required for any civil engineering projects.
- Execute construction and maintenance of the civil engineering works as per the requirements with proper safety and quality control.
- Conduct field survey and field investigations as per civil engineering projects.
- Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the Civil engineering problems.
- Problem analysis: Identify and analyze well-defined Civil engineering problems using codified standard methods.
- Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined Civil Engineering problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
- Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern Civil engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
- Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate Civil Engineering Technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
- Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined Civil Engineering engineering activities.
- Life-long learning: Ability to analyze individual needs and engage in updating in the context of Civil Engineering technological changes.
- Civil Engineering has its own place in a country’s development. To uplift the life standard of its countryman, a country must provide good infrastructure to its people, and civil engineers plays a vital role in this.
- In our Civil EngineeringDepartment, we are imparting the basic knowledge on Building Planning, Surveying, Structure design, building construction and maintenance. Apart from this, department is committed for all-round development of our students.
- Infrastructure in India is going to be developed at large scale and high pace in the next coming years.
- So, we are contributing to meet these requirements in the form of giving quality Civil Engineers to the society. Civil Engineering Department is looking further to provide good placement to the students in coming years.

Surveying
is the art of determining the relative positions of different objects on the
surface of the earth by measuring the horizontal distances between them and
vertical angle either in elevation or depression. From the observations
obtained is corrected and plotted on paper to prepare the map in the suitable
scale. Thus, in discipline, the measurements are taken in the horizontal plane
as well as vertical plane.
The
objective of surveying laboratory is to make student familiar and competent
enough to draw map in suitable scale by using different surveying instruments
like total station, theodolite, auto level, global positioning system (GPS),
geographical information system (GIS), electromagnetic distance measurement
(EDM), plane table, compass, etc. Students learn to survey from conventional as
well as contemporary methods and technology. Our Surveying labs provide
students with hands-on experience using common surveying equipment.
